The Make-up Brush Company
has supplied professional quality, competitively priced precision make-up brushes to fellow make-up artists, actresses, performers, celebrities and happy customers since 2006. This is Christine's own unique line of professional make-up brushes. She designed them to be a tight, efficient group based on her then 30 years (now 40 years) experience as a make-up artist.
Each make-up brush was designed to work with the application techniques Christine has refined during her long and varied career and in response to the very exacting requirements of working in HD 4K filming and more.
In the theatre Christine's dear friend and actress the late Louise Plowright proved the longevity of our make-up brushes because she used them all the way through her 5 year run as the lead in the West End as "Donna" in "Mama Mia", she was one of our biggest fans. They were also supplied to the original West End cast of "Wicked".
In film we supply top professional make-up artists and the biggest, most iconic brand of feature films including two Bond films "Skyfall" and "Spectre". We supplied 7 of the Full Metal Jacket Lip Brushes to "Skyfall" and more to the make-up team on "Spectre". It was on "Skyfall" that Norma Webb asked me to make an adaptation of the Foundation Brush to her specification and it is available now as "The Norm". At this level of working in the industry, when the cameras film on the actors right after you've done your final checks, your make-up brushes HAVE to be trusted to be moult-free, you cannot be worrying about hairs being left behind on your artists face for their close up.
Our make-up brushes have been shipped to happy customers in and Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the United States, The Windward Isles, Northern Europe and Canada.

Lip Brush - Full Metal Jacket
A long-sided Taklon lip brush suitable for use with the sign-writer's technique of letting the long edge deliver a smooth lip line. It has a generous point to create neat corners.
My experience being that if you work pointing the brush straight at the lip line there is more potential for 'wobble' making your work unnecessarily difficult and time consuming. Try it! You'll be amazed at the difference! It is an industry favorite after 10 years and many make-up artists swear by it and regularly stock up.
Eye Liner Brush
Designed to hold its shape while carrying sufficient product to apply perfect flicks and eye liner in just a few strokes. Once evenly loaded, this brush impressively holds a neat point with which to create perfect flicks and width to draw along for clean and even eye lines.
Can be used individually or as a team with the Fine Eye Liner brush.
Fine Eye Liner Brush
Following on from the success of the Eye Liner brush I had a finer one made for even thinner eye liner work and points.
Designed to hold its shape while carrying sufficient product to apply perfect flicks and eye liner in just a few strokes. Once evenly loaded, this brush impressively holds a neat point with which to create perfect flicks and width to draw along for clean and even eye lines.

Chisel Shadow Brush
The Chisel Shadow brush is a favorite because with a simple flick of the brush you can swap the style of application from a soft powder line (or wet powder chisel line) and fade or intensify with the round end.
"The Norm" Foundation Brush
This brush was designed and produced for Norma Webb, (make-up artist to A-List actresses and Bond leading ladies). This version of the Foundation Brush enables easier around the eye area.
Foundation Brush
This pointed foundation brush is firm yet silky for sheer application of creme or liquid foundations and the tip can be used for concealers. It's split-free when loaded so you don't have to go over your work again and again to lose brush marks. It is moult-free, I've never ever, in doing 100's of make-ups known this brush to split or a hair to fall out of this very well-made brush. In fact, if I've ever mistreated one of my foundation brushes and a hair irritatingly sticks out to the side I can't pull it out, not even with tweezers, I have to carefully cut it off.
The point was a request made by feature film make-up artist Norma Webb. IMDB her and you'll see her amazing credits.
Large Concealer Brush
This large concealer brush is firm yet silky for sheer application of creme or liquid foundations and concealers. it is 'moult' and 'split free' a useful size for quickly lightening around the eyes, nose and mouth.
Powder Blusher Brush
A versatile Powder/Blusher brush with an excellent shape for contouring, not so big that it covers too much and prevents artistry. It has sufficient spring to press powder firmly and is soft enough to give a sheer, shapely contour or apply bronzer.
Socket Shader Brush
This Socket Shader is designed to blend both above and below the socket line simultaneously while you create your intense socket line with the tip. This enables most socket lines and blending to be done in about 6-8 sweeps - with little or no other blending required.
It can also be a mini powder brush for around the nose, mouth, chin and other 'hot' spots.
Pencil Softener / Smudger Brush
A stubby soft brush perfect for smudging because the hairs are laid so soft tips of the hair do the job not chopped sharp ends as you find in cheaper brushes. Even with 'energetic smudging' the delicate outer corners of your eyes will be treated kindly and smoking up an eye pencil will be a pleasure not a pain.
A double-ended Brow and Lash groomer to refine your brow shape and separate lashes as a final touch.

Connie's Supersoft Blusher Brush
This divinely luxurious powder/blusher brush is named after my mother, Chief Make-up Artist Connie Reeve (chief make-up artist on the original "Moulin Rouge", another John Huston film "Beat the Devil") and the fantastical Powell/Pressberger film "The Tales of Hoffman". This is a copy of her favorite powder/blusher brush which I found in her "Set" make-up box. While it is extremely soft it holds a good shape for contouring. It gives a very gentle 'cloud' of colour or powder and is a positively gorgeous luxurious experience. Only 100 have been made.
Connie lives with me now and a % of the ticket price of this brush go towards her care and small pleasures - she is in her 90's.

This collection of make-up brushes was designed by 3 x BAFTA nominated make-up artist Christine Allsopp who has 68 IMDB credits and who began her career in features in 1980. She was trained by some of the few and finest and most legendary make-up artists working in the business in the 1980's.
